    DETAILED ITINERARY:

    Day 1: Cusco – Pisac – Urubamba – Ollantaytambo – Chinchero – Cusco.

Our full-day trip begins at 7:30 am when your guide picks you up at your hotel in our transportation to take you to the modern or colonial town of Pisac. We will then continue to the Pisac archaeological site, located at the top of the mountain. Our first stop will be at the famous viewpoint of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where you will have the opportunity to take pictures and admire the Andes Mountains. Upon arrival at the Pisac archaeological site, our guide will start the guided tour showing you the oldest cemetery in South America, where our ancestors used to bury their dead in caves inside the mountains. After the explanation, we will board our transportation to go to the colonial town of Pisac, where you will witness a silver demonstration in one of the factories, learn to recognize pure silver and handmade works, and have free time to buy some gifts for your family and friends.

Afterward, we will board the bus to go to the town of Urubamba, where you will have lunch at a buffet-style tourist restaurant. After lunch, we will arrive at the town of Ollantaytambo to visit the archaeological site of the same name, where we will have a guided tour that will last approximately one hour. Then, after boarding the bus, we will arrive at the village of Chinchero, unique in its kind, as it is home to the best weavers of the Cusco region who still use the techniques of our ancestors. You will witness a weaving demonstration, and finally, we will return to the city of Cusco.

What do I need to know?

We recommend that you arrive in the city of Cusco at least one day before so that you can acclimate to the altitude and avoid possible symptoms of altitude sickness during our tour. The full-day trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas is available year-round and can be done in any month (the rainy season is from December to March).

    Briefing:

Briefings are held one night before the trip begins and last approximately 30 to 45 minutes. If you are unable to attend, please let us know by email so that we can arrange another date or time for your meeting with the guide.

NOTE: You will also need a backpack to carry your personal items such as sunscreen, water, and sunglasses.

Payment for the service: If you have already made a reservation and paid 50% in advance, it is important that you pay the rest after attending the briefing with your guide on the night before the start of the trip to the Sacred Valley with Machu Picchu.

    Strikes/Demonstrations:

Unfortunately, strikes are frequent in Peru and can disrupt our tours. Roads are often blocked and trains are stopped. We will ensure that your trek continues as planned, even if that means leaving the night before the start date. In these circumstances, we may have to cancel tours, but our operations department will coordinate with you in this situation. Your safety is always our primary concern.

    Lost and Found:

Each client is responsible for their items throughout the tour. Be careful where you leave your belongings and remember to pick up all items from our modes of transportation, stores, restaurants, etc. It is possible that other hikers or teams may take them without knowing who the owner is.
